Sudanese Minister invites murderers for peacekeeping mission in Darfur

It’s been reported that the Sudanese Minister of Defense asked Egypt to beef up its military and police force as a part of the peacekeeping mission in Darfur.

Sudan’s defense minister asked Egypt on Sunday to commit more police to the troubled Darfur region.

An Egyptian battalion is due in Darfur by the end of June to boost the understaffed UN-AU hybrid force.

Minister Abdul Rahim Hussein said he is requesting more Egyptian troops, including police.

“Sudan wants large Egyptian participation in these troops,” he said.

The hybrid peacekeeping mission was deployed in January, but it remains about a third of what it was designed to be. The force also lacks equipment and transport.

At first sight it looks pretty legit – a neighboring country with relatively trained force…but this is nothing but an act of vicious sarcasm on the part of the Sudanese government that keeps beating the records of evil it itself sets.

If you look at the record of the Egyptian forces, a simple non-wizzy search in Google, combined of the words “egyptian troops, african refugees” gives you this:

Egyptian police kill Sudanese on Israeli border
‘Egyptians killed 4 Sudanese on border’
Egyptian soldiers kill 10 refugees
African Refugees Face Peril on Egypt-Israel Border
Three Sudanese refugees killed by Egyptian soldiers

And that’s just some of the stories…

I guess Egyptian troops have a pretty good idea how to handle those refugees, haven’t they? Plenty of experience too, providing a quick and cheap solution.

Does it get more evil than this?
