Self-hating Jew Finkelstein denied entrance to Israel for 10 years upon arrival

And rightly so! Finally, my country is growing some backbone when it comes to dealing with human trash of the sort Finkelstein is.
Israel deported Jewish-American Professor Norman Finkelstein to the United States on Friday after questioning him at Ben Gurion airport. Finkelstein was denied entry due to “security concerns,” authorities said
Finkelstein was detained immediately after landing in Israel late Thursday night and was questioned at the airport before being told he could not enter Israel.
Security concerns were raised due to the fact that Finkelstein is openly supporting the Iranian puppet terrorist organization Hezbollah, and previously met with its members in Lebanon.
But then, we got our own trash-appeasers who’d rush to defend every little scumbag, all in the name of democracy
“Finkelstein was boarded onto a plane back the United States before dawn. When he arrived we will decide whether to appeal this decision,” his attorney, Michael Sfard, told Ynet. Sfard said the entry ban could last 10 years.
“A country that starts to fear what its harshest critics write about it is a country that is already behaving in a manner reminiscent of the darkest days of the communist regime,” said Sfard.
Michael Sfard is known for advocating the enemies of Israel, and often voluntarily providing defense to the members of terrorist organizations who are standing trial.
As every democratic country, Israel should and must provide legal defense to everyone who’s on trial, the problem is that there are people volunteering for this defense to get a mere scandalous publicity - something Sfard is famous for.
When dealing with Finkelstein, the real issue is not him being a harshest critic - criticism is something Israel is open for. Israel welcomes the criticism when it comes from within or outside. Finkelstein is a sheer hater of Israel, issuing rants matching those of the Iranian president and Hezbollah leaders, spreading lies about Israel and supporting every criminal who seeks the destruction of the Jewish state by providing a pseudo-moral and pseudo-academic background to this hatred. It is not accidental that Finkelstein is being quoted day in day out by Islamic hate preachers and members of terrorist organizations.
While the exact purpose of his arrival is unclear (besides his intentions to visit the West Bank), I suspect he knew, based on the precedents in which Israel denied the entrance of its enemies - a perfectly normal thing to do - that this would be the reaction of the Israeli authorities to his visit.
Regardless of details, banning Finkelstein is the right way for democracy to protect itself from those who support its enemies.
Cartoon war continues, expands to Japan
While the Western world got pretty much over it and moved on, some in the Middle East continue to beat the “we’re very offended” drums and call for boycott of Danish and Dutch products, following the brawl over publishing cartoons depicting the Muslim prophet Muhammad in Danish newspapers, and short movie “Fitna” produced by the Dutch MP Geert Wilders, demonstrating the parallel between the quotes from the Quran and the acts of terrorism perpetrated by Muslims.
A group of Jordanian political parties and media syndicates will launch a major campaign calling for the boycott of Danish and Dutch products in a delayed reaction to February’s reprinting of offensive cartoons by Danish newspapers.
One of the Jordanian protest leaders, Zakaria Al-Sheikh, told Saudi daily Arab News, Dutch products have been added to a list of blacklisted Danish goods after Dutch MP Geert Wilders released an anti-Islam film on the Internet in March.
The campaign organisers had decided to delay the launch to give ample time for local agencies of Danish and Dutch products to sell the already imported goods, he added.
Oh, how nice and considering of them. As far as I know, they are the only ones, in the Muslim world, who are still at it.
Once these guys in Jordan and in other regional countries run out of targets to protest against over the “insult of Islam”, here is a new one for them - Japan!
May 22 (Bloomberg) — A Japanese cartoon depicting a character reading the Koran while ordering the execution of the animation’s hero and friends sparked protests on Islamic Web sites, Kyodo News reported today.
The scene from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, adapted from a comic strip published from 1987 to 2003, generated angry responses on more than 300 Arab and Islamic Internet forums, with many accusing Japan of insulting the Koran, Kyodo said.
The scene depicts Muslims as terrorists, Kyodo cited Sheikh Abdul Hamid Attrash, chairman of the Fatwa Committee at Cairo’s Al-Azhar University, as saying. An unidentified official at Shueisha Inc., a Japanese publisher involved in the cartoon’s movie version, told Kyodo the Koran’s use was “a simple mistake” stemming from employees’ inability to read Arabic.
Cartoons of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad wearing a bomb in his turban were published in 2005 in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, prompting protests in Muslim communities worldwide and consumer boycotts of Danish products.
Well…Gomen Nasai if they got offended, Arigato for their complaint, and Sayonara - see you at the new frenzy demonstrations and stampedes, tearing the Japanese flag and burning some Japanese celeb effigies.
Kuwaiti sovereign wealth fund in Germany - let the bullying begin
Those who are worried about the influence of sovereign wealth funds on the countries that were selected as an investment target by these funds, get a glimpse on how it looks like when the local regulators do what they are supposed to do - regulate and limit such influence to protect the country’s strategic industries - and the sovereign wealth fund finds these regulations not to its liking.
Kuwaiti Investment Authority resulted to plain bullying and threats, after German authorities attempt to take action to protect its vital commercial entities:
BERLIN: The Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) has warned Germany it may cut back its commitment to pumping funds into Europe’s largest economy if the Berlin government regulates sovereign wealth funds.
Many German politicians are nervous about the influence sovereign wealth funds can wield and their capacity to buy leading national companies or key national infrastructure.
KIA managing director Bader Al Saad said that Germany’s reservations about wealth funds had not yet influenced the investment activities of the KIA, which manages the Gulf state’s oil-generated assets.
“But we are very concerned,” he added.
“We still consider Germany an economic anchor in Europe, even in the world. We still like to invest in Germany. But in the future, any regulations on sovereign wealth funds in Germany could limit our engagement in your country.”
German Finance Minister Peer Steinbrueck is due to travel next week to the Gulf region, where he is expected to meet managers at sovereign wealth funds to improve their relations.
The German government plans to extend existing legislation that gives Berlin a veto on takeovers of defence firms to include other industries, though Steinbrueck has said Germany does not want to scare off sovereign wealth funds.
“We are very surprised by the Germans’ fear of sovereign wealth funds. We have been in Germany for more than 45 years,” Al Saad said.
Steinbrueck has previously described the German plans to defend domestic firms as modest compared to those of other countries, including Britain, France and the US.
Kuwait Investment Authority controls the assets of $250 Billion - the fourth largest sovereign wealth fund in the world, after UAE, Norway and Singapore.
Idiotic Headline
This is one of the daftest headlines I have come across, and to my surprise it is coming from Khaleej Times – one of the most respected newspapers in the Middle East – the newspaper I am a current leader of.
Terrorism is a huge threat to healthcare
ABU DHABI — Terrorism is the most challenging threat to healthcare, and causes the most dangerous emergency situations, according to experts at a conference organised by the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) in the capital recently.
The two-day conference, titled “Advanced Medical Response in Cases of Disaster”, surveyed ways of handling natural and man-made disasters, such as terrorist threats, and stressed the importance of raising awareness in order to ensure a quick response from both the general public and experts working in the medical field.
Experts revealed that according to the official estimates of WHO, floods constitute the majority of natural disasters, followed by hurricanes. The continent of Asia ranked first in number of natural disasters, followed by Africa and Europe.
What a dramatic discovery! Terrorism is a huge threat to healthcare? How come we did not know that before? Was it because of some government plot, woven in secrecy, to keep this piece of valuable information from us? Silly us, and we thought terrorism has no influence on healthcare what so ever, or maybe even contribute to it in a way…
And last week we were reported that terrorism, apparently, is a threat to agriculture as well. This was uncovered when thousands fled the Somali town of Jilib - a major agriculture center - after it was captured by the Islamic terrorists.
Well, let’s not lose hope. Maybe, just maybe, there is something terrorism is good for? Nanotechnology development? Or building the centers for Quantum Physics research?
EU money well wasted
It looks like Europe in general and Germany in particular (in this case) has too much money to spend on useless social projects:
Berlin, May 20, SPA — Prime Minister Christian Wulff of Lowez Saxony - a federal state of Germany said he is planning to establish a Center for Islamic-Christian Dialogue in the city of Osanabruck.
Wulff from the Democratic Christian Party said that the Center will be a major one in Germany and the neighboring European countries.
The Center will organize European and international conferences with the participation of scholars from the two religions in addition to scientists in medicine, astronomy and other human sciences.
Wulff pointed out that the dialogue should be a comprehensive dialogue and not confined to the religious sciences and differences between the two religions.
The cost of the Center is expected to amount to about two million Euros.
Wulff expressed optimism that the Center would be supported by some Muslim countries.
Osanabruck is a historical city. It includes the graves of some Muslim soldiers who had participated in the siege imposed by the Ottomans on Vienna.
Two million Euros. Not to shabby. Looks pretty? Looks nice? Here is why it’s absolutely useless: Christian and Muslim leaders and scholars who will participate in this center do not need lessons in bridging the gaps and cooperating with their Muslim colleagues – such cooperation and dialogue already exist within the frames of the European and American universities, colleges and interfaith conferences.
Another problem is that those Muslims and Christian who are likely to attend this center have insignificant influence (if any at all) on their respective public. The leaders and scholars, especially from the Muslim world, who have a serious influence on the broader public, are not too eager to engage in such dialogues. The word “Dialogue” is rarely in their lexicon to begin with. What is? Try “domination”.
I guess this chap will not be attending:
This one neither:
So, basically, in this case Germany pays two million Euros to gather people who are already open for the dialogue and cooperation with each other.
Please note that this piece of news arrives from SPA - Saudi Press Agency - which makes me wonder how come such centers are never built in, let’s say…Saudi Arabia. It would be cheaper to build it there in the first place. And then imagine: a beautiful oasis, in the middle of the desert, with a structure of outstanding architecture - a real piece of art - surrounded by smaller buildings that would host the libraries and research centers…oh but wait. Rewind! Silly me. How could I forget…Christian religious books are not allowed in Saudi Arabia!
I guess it would be so convenient for the Saudis to answer the hopes of the Christian Wullf and support such center in Germany, and then boast about being all about interfaith dialogue and progress. But I guess the bonfires and children gathered around and singing “Kumbaya, my Lord, Kumbaya” are not about to be lit in Saudi Arabia any time soon.
So, for sake of the true dialogue, how building such center in the Muslim country, like Saudi Arabia, for starters?
Latest Hezbollah attack will cost Lebanon $600 Million
In an interview to “Ya-Libnan”, Lebanese Tourism Minister assessed the damage caused by the Iranian puppet terrorist group Hezbollah in its latest assault on the Lebanese sovereignty is estimated $600 Million.
Apart from the loss of lives of the Lebanese Sunni and Druze citizens in an onslaught initiated and carried by Hezbollah over the Lebanese government’s decisions to exercise its authority, the long term influence of this terrorist action seems to be devastating for the country that barely started recovering from the damages after the skirmish with Israel in 2006 - the skirmish that Lebanon was dragged into by none other but…Hezbollah.
The Minister said:
It is a disaster because we were preparing ourselves for a promising season in spite of the political problems. If things do not go back to normal immediately, as we are now in the middle of May, it means that we are going to lose another seasonal year.
…
In normal times we can consider the income generated from tourism and related investment at about $4 billion a year, since the July 2006 war with Israel we haven’t had a normal tourism season.”
Australia to take Iranian president to court
I wonder why nobody, including Israel, took up this idea, although but it was just the matter of time until someone does.
Australia considers taking ahmadinejad to court over anti-Semitic and genocidal remarks
Australia is mulling whether to launch a case in the International Court of Justice against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for inciting violence against Israel, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said Wednesday.
Rudd said Ahmadinejad had made repeated anti-Semitic statements that must be condemned by the international community.
“The Iranian president’s repeated extraordinary statements which are anti-Semitic and expressing a determination to eliminate the modern state of Israel from the map are appalling by any standards of current international relations,” Rudd told Australia’s Sky TV.
“They are an incitement of international violence and what we have said in the past is that we will take legal advice, which the attorney general is currently doing, on whether there is a profitable way forward here through the appropriate international legal mechanisms and we’ll study that advice carefully,” he said.
My general feeling is that before this idea forms into something practical, ahmadinejad will be ousted by his own bosses-ayatollahs for causing Iranian image much of embarrassment with his ridiculous and outrageous remarks, and first and foremost for leaving the country’s economy in tatters.
Another option is that he will end up as POW of the coalition forces, but this one is too far-fetched at the moment.
