Armenian Genocide - 93 Years Ago Today
Turkey is currently negotiating its entrance to European Union.
There are many reasons why it should not be allowed to become a part of this body, most of them are based on political, economical and religious obstacles which make the integration of this Muslim and increasingly religious country in EU simply dangerous. If there is one moral reason why they shouldn’t be allowed to take part in the union of the civilized nations, it is the 93 years of denial of crimes against humanity committed by Turks.
By Ani Avetisian. Yerevan, Armenia
World War One gave the Young Turk government the cover and the excuse to carry out their plan. The plan was simple and its goal was clear. On April 24th 1915, commemorated worldwide by Armenians as Genocide Memorial Day, hundreds of Armenian leaders were murdered in Istanbul after being summoned and gathered. The now leaderless Armenian people were to follow. Across the Ottoman Empire (with the exception of Constantinople, presumably due to a large foreign presence), the same events transpired from village to village, from province to province.
Somewhat surprisingly to many, Armenians and Turks used to live in relative harmony in the Ottoman Empire for centuries. Armenians were known as the “loyal millet”. Although, during these times, Armenians were not equal and had to put up with certain special hardships, taxes and second class citizenship.
Things began to change for various reasons. Nationalism, a new force in the world, reared its head and made ethnic groupings self-conscious… The Ottoman Empire began to crumble. It became known as “the sick man of Europe” and the only thing holding it together was the European powers’ lack of agreement on how to split it up.
As other Christian minorities gained their independence one by one, the Armenians became more isolated as the only major Christian minority. Armenians and Turks began to have conflicting dreams of the future. Some Armenians began to call for independence like the Greeks and others had already received, while some Turks began to envision a new Pan-Turkic empire spreading all the way to Turkic speaking parts of Central Asia. Armenians were the only ethnic group in between these two major pockets of Turkish speakers and the nationalist Turks wanted to get rid of them altogether.
*************
The atrocities committed against the Armenian people of the Ottoman Empire during World War I are called the Armenian Genocide. Genocide is the organized killing of a people for the express purpose of putting an end to their collective existence what the Ottoman Empire exactlly wanted to do. Because of its scope, genocide requires central planning and a machinery to implement it. This makes genocide the quintessential state crime as only a government has the resources to carry out such a scheme of destruction. The Armenian Genocide was centrally planned and administered by the Turkish government against the entire Armenian population of the Ottoman Empire. It was carried out during World War I between the years 1915 and 1918. The Armenian people was subjected to deportation, expropriation, abduction, torture, massacre, and starvation. The great bulk of the Armenian population was forcibly removed from Armenia and Anatolia to Syria, where the vast majority was sent into the desert to die of thirst and hunger. Large numbers of Armenians were methodically massacred throughout the Ottoman Empire. Women and children were abducted and horribly abused. The entire wealth of the Armenian people was expropriated. After only a little more than a year of calm at the end of Wurld War I, the atrocities were renewed between 1920 and 1923, and the remaining Armenians were subjected to further massacres and expulsions. In 1915, thirty-three years before UN Genocide Convention was adopted, the Armenian Genocide was condemned by the international community as a crime against humanity.
The decision to carry out a genocide against the Armenian people was made by the political party in power in the Ottoman Empire. This was the Committee of Union and Progress (CUP) (or Ittihad ve Terakki Jemiyeti), popularly known as the Young Turks. Three figures from the CUP controlled the government; Mehmet Talaat, Minister of the Interior in 1915 and Grand Vizier (Prime Minister) in 1917; Ismail Enver, Minister of War; Ahmed Jemal, Minister of the Marine and Military Governor of Syria. This Young Turk triumvirate relied on other members of the CUP appointed to high government posts and assigned to military commands to carry out the Armenian Genocide. In addition to the Ministry of War and the Ministry of the Interior, the Young Turks also relied on a newly-created secret outfit which they manned with convicts and irregular troops, called the Special Organization (Teshkilati Mahsusa). Its primary function was the carrying out of the mass slaughter of the deported Armenians. In charge of the Special Organization was Behaeddin Shakir, a medical doctor. Moreover, ideologists such as Zia Gokalp propagandized through the media on behalf of the CUP by promoting Pan-Turanism, the creation of a new empire stretching from Anatolia into Central Asia whose population would be exclusively Turkic. These concepts justified and popularized the secret CUP plans to liquidate the Armenians of the Ottoman Empire. The Young Turk conspirators, other leading figures of the wartime Ottoman government, members of the CUP Central Committee, and many provincial administrators responsible for atrocities against the Armenians were indicted for their crimes at the end of the war. The main culprits evaded justice by fleeing the country. Even so, they were tried in absentia and found guilty of capital crimes. The massacres, expulsions, and further mistreatment of the Armenians between 1920 and 1923 were carried by the Turkish Nationalists, who represented a new political movement opposed to the Young Turks, but who shared a common ideology of ethnic exclusivity.
The international community condemned the Armenian Genocide. In May 1915, Great Britain, France, and Russia advised the Young Turk leaders that they would be held personally responsible for this crime against humanity. There was a strong public outcry in the United States against the mistreatment of the Armenians. At the end of the war, the Allied victors demanded that the Ottoman government prosecute the Young Turks accused of wartime crimes. Relief efforts were also mounted to save “the starving Armenians.” The American, British, and German governments sponsored the preparation of reports on the atrocities and numerous accounts were published. On the other hand, despite the moral outrage of the international community, no strong actions were taken against the Ottoman Empire either to sanction its brutal policies or to salvage the Armenian people from the grip of extermination. Moreover, no steps were taken to require the postwar Turkish governments to make restitution to the Armenian people for their immense material and human losses.
Zbigniew Brzezinski admits advising Obama; compares Israeli party “Likud” to “Hamas”; calls Putin “transitional leader”
If anyone had any doubts regarding the flawed foreign policy basics of Barak Hussein Obama’s, another push to tilt in a certain direction was delivered by the key political figure in the failed Jimmy Dhimmi Carter’s administration, a former National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski.
A man who is partially responsible for the creation of the Taliban and Al Qaida, and almost fully responsible for the decades of deterioration in the situation in the Middle East after failing to stop Islamic radicals from taking power in Iran, admits in an interview to France 24 that he advises to Barak Hussein Obama on foreign policy and demonstrates his complete misunderstanding of the situation in the Middle East and Russia
Here are a few excerpts from the interview (the interviewer - Ulysse Gosset), with my own observations
Ulysse Gosset
The real question is: Is Barack Obama ready to be President?Zbigniew Brzezinski:
Well, that is a more serious question – not the phone-call at 3 a.m.! And that raises the question: What does it mean to be ready? We have had some Presidents who have had some extraordinary qualifications to be President, who were not so good. And we have had some remarkably successful Presidents in the area of foreign policy or national unity, who were not trained or endowed with enormous experience, but turned out to be very good! Ultimately, what is leadership? Leadership is not the accumulation of bureaucratic experience. It is certainly not being First Lady for eight years! Or travelling to 80 countries, as it is often said that Mrs Clinton has. My comment publicly on this has been, well, my travel agent has been to 150 countries! Does that prepare him to be President?
What a poor argument. I am no fan of Hillary, but I think that Hillary Clinton have met far more important world figures and decision makers than Brzezinski’s travel agent ever did.
Ulysse Gosset:
What would be the priority for the next President to restore the image of the United States in the world?Zbigniew Brzezinski:
In the first instance, addressing, seriously, the problems in the Middle East, some of which we created ourselves by misguided policy. That is to say: terminate the war in Iraq as soon as possible, but intelligently; secondly, avoid a collision with Iran by drawing Iran into serious negotiations, but serious negotiations; and third, make a genuinely important direct effort to resolve, finally, the much-too-long-lasting Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which is poisoning the atmosphere – and not only the atmosphere, but also the political realities of the Middle East. So that is the first priority.
This man has no moral right to lecture on Iran and Middle-East policies. After being responsible for the victory of Islamic revolution and ousting of pro-Western government of Shah, Brzezinski continues to demonstrate his ignorance in understanding the trends in the Middle-East and openly misguides the viewers by leading them to think that the solution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will improve the situation. And this is how he suggests solving this conflict
Zbigniew Brzezinski:
He [US President] should put on the table, openly and clearly, at least a fundamental framework for a comprehensive peace, which would then have to be negotiated in much more detail. But the fundamental framework, which ought to be stated publicly by the United States, and which the overwhelming majority of the international community would support – more importantly, the majority of the Israeli public opinion would support and the majority of the Palestinian public opinion would support – is this:1) very bitter pill for the Palestinians to digest, a major concession by the Palestinians: - no right of return. Israel cannot be expected to sign peace by committing suicide, so no right of return.
2) a major concession by the Israelis, difficult for them, but without which there will be no peace, that is, viewed by the Arabs, the Palestinians, as legitimate: genuine sharing of Jerusalem, which means East Jerusalem as the capital and major part of the Old City as part of it; the Golden Dome mosque, as part of it, because that, too, is of essential importance to the Palestinians.
3) territorial exchanges to permit incorporation into Israel of the heavily urbanised settlements near the ’67 lines, but with compensation, territorially, for the Palestinian state in the Negev and in Galilee.
4) and last, a demilitarised Palestinian State, and I have recently proposed that America should agree to station some American forces along the Jordan River, so that once the State is created, Israel has a sense of geo-strategic depth.
Genuine sharing of Jerusalem and major part of the Old city…how fast Mr. Brzezinski to urge another nation to give up on its only holy place.
There will never be a majority in the Israeli public to approve concessions on the Old City of Jerusalem, even if they have to live by the sword for centuries. Golden Dome mosque is of essential importance to Palestnians? This mosque was built on a place that is called Temple Mount, where the holy of the holiest of the Jewish people stood. It is of importance not only to the Israelis, but to the world Jewry. Israelis have no right to negotiate over it, or give up on it after they managed to liberate this place from the centuries of a Muslim occupation and return the control over it to its right and only owners - the Jews.
Jerusalem, as the ONLY holy place for the Jews, is just the third holy place in its importance for the Muslims after Mecca and Medina. Why Mr. Brzezinski (or anybody else in the world, for that matter) isn’t asking the Muslims to give up on it? That would make much more sense, when speaking of historical justice.
The fact of the matter that if this conflict will ever be solved (which I doubt it will) in a manner Brzezinski offers, all the Muslim radicals will celebrate the victory over the West and continue their assault on Democracy in more vigorous and vicious manner. To put it in simple words – hell will break lose - but this time on the European and American soil. Israel is the last frontier of the democratic world in a long war between the Western civilization and dark Islamic hoards. The security of Israel must be won, not negotiated over. And lastly, speaking of a “fundamental framework for a comprehensive peace, which would then have to be negotiated in much more detail.” – such framework already exists. It’s called “The Road Map”
Ulysse Gosset:
Some people are suspecting you to be too tough on Israel this time.
Zbigniew Brzezinski:
Well, if being for peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians and favouring a two-stage solution for thirty years is being ‘too tough’, so be it!Ulysse Gosset:
But should Washington talk with Hamas?Zbigniew Brzezinski:
I think, basically, yes. Again, that is my personal opinion. But Hamas is a significant body of the political life of the Palestinians. We should talk to it. We talked to the Likud, when Likud was in favour of incorporating all of Palestine into Israel!
Ulysse Gosset:
Should Barack Obama follow that advice and talk to Hamas?Zbigniew Brzezinski:
That would be up to him to decide. I have no idea! I am just a supporter of Barack Obama, no more than that.
We know what kind of advise you’ll give him.
Zbigniew Brzezinski:
The second priority is to make a very serious effort to reactivate a genuine process of shared decision-making and shared responsibilities with Europe, because the West can only be vital and play a constructive role in the world is America and Europe cooperate closely.
Improving the relations with Europe and “shared decision making”? Again, Brzezinski has no moral right to lecture on, since his record on cooperation is less than satisfactory. Ask the Iranian Shah…oh wait, he died…of cancer…in exile…after Carter and Brzezinski did absolutely nothing to stop the Islamic terrorist fanatics taking over the country.
Ulysse Gosset:
One question about Vladimir Putin, in Russia. Are you preoccupied? Do you believe there might be a new Cold War or so? How do you see the evolution of Russia today?Zbigniew Brzezinski:
I don’t think that there is going to be a new Cold War because Russia does not have the capacity to wage a Cold War. But Putin clearly has been driven by what might be called an imperial nostalgia. He regrets the collapse of the Soviet Union. He would like to recreate something like an imperial sphere of influence, within the space of the former Soviet Union. He bitterly resents the fact that Ukraine wants to be part of the West; sees itself as part of Europe; and aspires to EU membership; perhaps also to NATO membership. He resents the fact that Georgia makes possible the existence of the Baku-Ceyhan Pipeline, which gives Europe – and the West more generally – access to the Caspian, and through the Caspian, to Central Asia. He would like to cut that. But I think that Putin, who is an intelligent and an effective leader, is essentially a transitional figure. He is the last gasp of the old Soviet elite, the KGB, which was the privileged – the most privileged – elite within the Soviet Union. He is now beginning to disappear. Within ten years those around him, who also come from the KGB, will be gone and a new generation of Russians, many of them trained in Western universities, will begin to take over. And I think such a Russia will then follow the path that Ukraine has taken: begin to move to the West. And that is good for Russia; that is good for Europe.
That is a display of wishful thinking by Brzezinski. He couldn’t be much farther from reality.
As someone who was born and grew up in what once was Soviet Union, and someone who’s following the events there on a constant basis, I can assure Mr. Brzezinski that Putin and his people are seen by the Russian public as a new and very successful beginning. Personally I am no fan of Putin (I don’t have to be, I live in Israel), but after the decade of selling Russia for pennies to the first (not the highest) bidder by Yeltzin and his gang, Putin is perceived as a savior. His accurate and correct vision of Russia – partially totalitarian state with modern economy – is probably the only political model that is suitable to Russia in decades and decades to come.
The new generation of Russians who are trained in Western Universities know that they owe Putin the opportunity to come back to their homeland and implement what they have learnt. Since the times of Peter the Great, no leader of Russia was so genuinely admired, respected and loved by the vast majority of the Russian people as Vladimir Putin is. So get used to him and his friends, Mr. Brzezinski, they are in power for a very long time.
Ulysse Gosset:
And that would be the policy of Barack Obama if he is elected?Zbigniew Brzezinski:
I have no idea! I don’t speak…Ulysse Gosset:
What would you advise him?Zbigniew Brzezinski:
I don’t speak for him and I don’t give advice to him publicly on television!
U-huh…but I bet you do give him a few advices privatly.
Pamela from Atlas Shrugs published this list of Hussein Obama’s friends. With or without adding Zbigniew Brzezinski to it, it is scary to think what this man will do if he takes the office.
Obama must be stopped by all democratic and judicial means possible – for the sake of America and for the sake of the free world.

Profit/Loss of Swiss Hypocrisy
Switzerland is doing a pretty bad job trying to maintain its neutrality.
On one hand this central European country signs a $28 Billion energy deal with Iran:
TEHRAN (AFP) - Iran and Switzerland on Monday signed a major agreement for Iranian gas exports to a Swiss company, in a rare energy deal between Tehran and the West as their nuclear showdown drags on.
“Today we witnessed the signing of a gas contract between the two countries,” Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki announced at a joint news conference with his Swiss counterpart Micheline Calmy-Rey.
Financial details were not disclosed but the contract between Iran’s state gas firm and Switzerland’s Elektrizitaets-Gesellschaft (EGL) Laufenburg reportedly envisages Iran supplying 5.5 billion cubic metres (194 trillion cubic feet) of gas annually from 2011 2009 (WD).
On the other hand it slaps Iran with sanctions.
GENEVA, April 23, 2008 (AFP) - Switzerland said on Wednesday it had frozen the assets of a further 12 Iranian companies in accordance with new United Nations sanctions aimed at stopping Tehran’s alleged nuclear programme.
The 12 companies, and 13 individuals, have been added to an existing blacklist of 23 companies and 27 people. Five Iranian nationals are also banned from entering and passing through Switzerland, the country’s Federal Council said in a statement.
Switzerland will also ban the delivery of so-called “dual use” materials that could be used for the manufacture of nuclear plants, and the export of some drones and missiles, the statement said.
The UN Security Council last month imposed its third set of sanctions against Iran in the space of 15 months to punish Tehran’s refusal to suspend uranium enrichment, which world powers fear Iran could use to make nuclear weapons.
The resolution gives Iran three months to comply with demands to suspend uranium enrichment, and includes an outright ban on travel by officials involved in Tehran’s nuclear and missile programmes, as well as broadening a list of individuals and entities subject to an assets freeze.
Switzerland’s own trade and diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic have come under fire in recent months after foreign minister Micheline Calmy-Rey travelled to Tehran in March to sign a gas deal.
If we do the math - a simple profit/loss count - it’s easy to see that Iranians would not mind that asset freeze. 12 individuals and 23 companies - I doubt they worth $28 Billion.
It is safe to assume that the details of these sanctions were agreed upon the signing of energy deal. Nothing personal…pure business.
Which side Switzerland is on? As always - it’s own. And they don’t mind becoming one of the biggest terror financiers (because this is exactly what they are after signing that deal). After all, they have a rich previous experience - Hitler’s bankers, anyone? It’s amazing how history repeats itself.

In 2006 Chavez slams Israel but tries to buy shares in Israeli spy satellite
In 2006, in the midst of Israeli-Lebanese skirmish, the thuggish president of Venezuela – Hugo “Gooko” Chavez – did not spared words criticizing Israel and called Venezuelan charge d’affaires to Israel to return to Caracas in protest of Israel’s actions in Lebanon and versus the Palestinians.
Among the quotes were:
“They are doing what Hitler did against the Jews.”
“Israel going mad and inflicting on the people of Palestine and Lebanon the same thing they have criticized, and with reason: the Holocaust. But this is a new Holocaust”
“United States refuses to allow the [U.N.] Security Council to make a decision to halt the genocide Israel is committing against the Palestinian and Lebanese people”.
“Venezuelans are making a call to world leaders, for the love of God, let’s halt this crazy fascist aggression against innocent people. Are we human or what are we?… I feel indignation for Israel’s assault on the Palestinian people and the Lebanese people. They dropped bombs on shelters. … It’s a Holocaust that is occurring there.”
All this, however, did not prevent him from trying to acquire a 30% stake in Israeli (”mad, genocidal fascist”, remember?) company that operates 2 spy satellites.
Chávez offered between $100 million and $150 million during negotiations to acquire partial interest in a company that operates a powerful observation satellite capable of discerning objects as small as about 27 inches across, according to documents in a civil complaint filed in a New York federal court.
Chávez sought to purchase 20 percent to 30 percent of the stock offered by ImageSat International, the company that owns the Eros A and Eros B satellites; the latter was launched in 2006 by Israel, reportedly to spy on Iran’s nuclear program.
I wonder how Gooko Chavez will explain that to his friend ahmadinejad…
IAI – Israel Aircraft Industries – have “sabotaged” the deal as a part of military embargo on Venezuela
According to allegations in the court documents reviewed by El Nuevo Herald, the decision to pull the plug on a deal with Venezuela was driven in part by the Israeli defense conglomerate, Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI), and in part by the military embargo ordered against Venezuela by the U.S. State Department.
”Rather than the legitimate commercial interests of plaintiffs and similarly situated minority shareholders, defendants were motivated by the deteriorating international relationship between the United States and Venezuela and Israel’s desire to improve and maintain its historically good relations with the United States,” the complaint said.
The documents give no indication of why Chávez was interested in the satellite imagery. The populist president regularly alleges that Washington plans to attack or topple him — allegations denied by U.S. officials.
The complaint was filed in the Federal Court for the Southern District of New York in July of last year by shareholders and the founders and investors of ImageSat International.
According to the complaint, initial negotiations were held between Wilson and high-ranking Venezuelan military officers in Caracas. But Venezuela’s proposed multimillion-dollar investment offer was made by Chávez himself.”He did so explicitly,” said one of the documents.
And after all the hugging and kissing that goes on between the crazed thin-bearded pokemon ahmadinejad and his biggest supporter in the non-Muslim world Gooko Chavez; after Venezuela allows terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah to freely operate and train within its borders, and according to U.S. News & World Report provides the members of these organizations with identity cards, one must wonder how the talks of purchasing even got to the stage they did.

Palestinians: we want $US1.5 Billion…Now!
Very funny, but mostly pathetic.
Palestinians:
“What do we want!? Investment. US$1.5 Billion please.”
“When do we want it? Next month!”
Zawya.com reports
RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP)–Palestinian officials are aiming to attract $1.5 billion in investments next month, part of an effort to develop the economy as a step toward building an independent state.
More than 300 investors, including a Saudi representative and a government minister from the United Arab Emirates, are expected to attend a conference from May 21 to 23 in Bethlehem, Foreign Minister Riad al-Malki told reporters.
The government of moderate President Mahmoud Abbas has made the conference a centerpiece of its efforts to build up the economy and create an independent Palestinian state. Abbas is currently conducting peace talks with Israel and the sides hope to reach an agreement by the end of the year.
Al-Malki said the Palestinians are seeking $1.5 billion in private investment to help fund about 105 projects, in addition to an ambitious $200 million plan to develop downtown Ramallah, the seat of Abbas’ government.
Al-Malki said more than 1,100 investors have been invited, and more than 300 participants, including officials from the World Bank and European governments, have confirmed.
Representatives from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip also are expected, though they will not be members of the Islamic militant group.
Israel, which controls the West Bank’s border with neighboring Jordan, has agreed to allow Arab visitors to enter the West Bank for the conference, al-Malki said.
I thought that investors first see the state established and secured…
I don’t see it happening next month. But I guess all these potential investors love traveling and telling people that they prepare to put their money in what is called “Palestine”. The reality is that the distance from the mouth to the pocket is way longer than from the Gulf countries to Ramallah.
The irony is that once (and if) this state is established, the first investors in it will probably be the Israeli entrepreneurs who maintain contacts with their Palestinian counterparts since the delusional days of Oslo.

UN Peacekeepers – men on the run
I suggest Lebanon to consider new road signs. Like this:
And here is why. When the new/old Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi announced that he will review the rules of engagement of Italian troops stationed as a part of the UN peacekeeping force in South Lebanon, he knew what he was talking about. And when Lebanon protested this decision the moment it came out, there was more than just a knee-jerk reaction to it:
Israeli newspaper “Ha’aretz” reports that the terrorists from the Iranian puppet organization in Lebanon – Hizballah - turned guns on the UN “Peacekeepers” who backed off and pussied out of doing their job
Armed Hezbollah militants warded off members of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) last month when the peacekeepers discovered a truck carrying weapons and ammunition belonging to the Lebanon-based guerilla group.
The incident was referred to briefly in a semi-yearly report submitted to the UN Security Council by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon. The incident was the first time that UNIFIL forces were confronted by armed Hezbollah men south of Lebanon’s Litani River, an area which Security Council resolution 1701 prohibits Hezbollah from entering.
According to a government source in Jerusalem, the incident caused great embarrassment for UNIFIL. The source described the incident, explaining that UNIFIL troops on patrol discovered the truck and chased it down and pulled it over. When the UNIFIL troops approached the vehicle, the source said, armed Hezbollah men exited the truck and threatened the troops at gunpoint. The UNIFIL patrol then went back into their cars, according to the source, and returned to their base.
Peachy, isn’t it? And what does the UN do? Exactly the usual – slaps another raging report on the table
The report submitted to the Security Council said the incident occurred on the night between the 30 and 31 of March. “This serious violation of the UN resolution raises concerns,” the report said.
The incident was not reported in the media at the time of its occurrence.
Oh, not reported in the media, I wonder why. But then, this is not the first time that the UN makes mockery, bordering with criminal conduct, out of this dubious and useless organization’s transparency
When it comes to having sex with underage girls in exchange for food, UN peacekeeping force is probably one of the most effective organizations there is – no less effective than the criminal gangs who kidnap children in Africa, South America and Asia and turn them into sex slaves or soldiers - but when it comes to actually doing the job UN peacekeeping force was formed for, the story is completely different.

Carter lies for Obama
Jimmy Dhimmi Carter got a little confused with geography, otherwise I cannot understand this:
Globetrotting former US President Jimmy Carter says he’s found strong support for Barack Obama during his recent trips to Africa and Asia.
Carter has stopped short of formally endorsing Obama as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee and would not be drawn on the issue in a meeting with reporters Monday.
However, Carter noted that his children, grandchildren and their spouses back the Illinois senator who is competing with New York Sen. Hillary Clinton for the nomination.
Carter says Obama was the favorite in his travels to Ghana, Nigeria and Nepal. He says “world opinion is strongly supportive of Obama, that’s all we hear.”
Ghana, Nigeria and Nepal - that’s the whole lotta world for you right there, Jimmy? Let’s add to this your terrorist friends from Hamas and Sudan who already said that they’d like see Hussein Obama in the office…still far from the “world opinion”.
Too bad (for Carter) this “world” won’t be voting in American elections. Dhimmi Carter’s friends will be so disappointed when McCain gets the job!
