Denmark To Sudan: FU2

The terrorist president of Sudan thought that his threat to boycott Danish goods will be forgiven just as his and other terrorists’ rant usually is, but not this time. Looks like Danes have had it.

Denmark to oppose Sudan debt relief

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — Denmark said Thursday it will oppose any debt relief deal for Sudan in response to the Sudanese president’s comments urging the Muslim world to boycott Danish goods over the publication of a Prophet Muhammad cartoon.

Interior Minister Ulla Toernaes said she summoned Sudan’s ambassador to Denmark to demand an explanation of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir’s comments a day earlier.

Iran ‘number one world power’: Ahmadinejad

TEHRAN, Feb 28, 2008 (AFP) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared on Thursday that Iran was the world’s “number one” power, as he launched a bitter new assault on domestic critics he accused of siding with the enemy.

“Everybody has understood that Iran is the number one power in the world,” Ahmadinejad said in a speech to families who lost loved ones in the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.

“Today the name of Iran means a firm punch in the teeth of the powerful and it puts them in their place,” he added in the address broadcast live on state television.

Right…

Hypocrisy Incorporated

Since the very first days I started this blog, I have spoken against the recognition of Kosovo’s independence. Kosovo has been given a buyout to the Muslim world by the West in pathetic attempt to appease the hate-preaching leaders.

One has to be either blind, or completely indifferent to the implications of the independence of this artificial state. Another sad part is that when it comes to the Serbian people, the West is being less than considering. Out of fear? Out of sheer hatred of this proud and unbending folk? Doesn’t matter. Double standards demonstrated by the West in dealing with Balkan’s problems continue:

Serbs cautioned by US against any partition attempt in Kosovo

The Bush administration notified Serbia on Thursday it was “absolutely opposed” to any attempt to partition Kosovo so that the Serbian minority could have its own homeland.

“We will not support any form of partition,” Undersecretary of State Nicholas Burns said at a news conference. And, he said, “the great majority of countries would not stand for that.”

Kosovo, which has declared independence with strong US support and over the anger of Belgrade, has a majority ethnic Albanian population. Many Serbs view Kosovo as the cradle of their culture and Orthodox Christian faith.

There are some 100,000 Serbs living in Kosovo, most of them in the north, with several enclaves in southeastern Kosovo. They have ignored Kosovo’s declaration and threatened to set up their own institutions.

Russia Sick Of Iran?

Diplomatic trick or genuine concern?

Russia warns Iran: stop enrichment or face sanctions

The ultimatum is the strongest signal yet that Russia is toughening its stance towards Iran, which the US, Britain and France suspect of seeking nuclear weapons.

Russia’s UN envoy Vitaly Churkin said Moscow could back a sanctions resolution the Western powers have drafted and which they want to discuss in the Security Council this week.

“If Iran in the next few days does not stop the enrichment activities of its heavy water project, then yes, Russia … has taken upon itself certain commitments … to support the resolution that has been drafted in the past month,” Churkin told reporters via a video link from New York.

“Russia is constantly insisting that the (UN) Security Council adopt certain sanctions against Iran,” he said.

Naturally, Russia does what is best for Russia. I do believe Russians realize that nuclear Iran is anything but in the interests of Russia and may be they reached the conclusion that stretching the boundaries of the game with Iran went just about too far. Now Russia appears to be facing a dilemma - continuation of nuclear cooperation with Iran and bagging fat contracts, or nuclear neighbor who one day becomes independent in its atomic capabilities and positions itself as a security threat and opponent of Russia on the international nuclear market.

The answer to all that, however, we’ll receive when the UNSC votes for the sanctions

Reuters:Ooops, I Did It Again

Yeah, you can always trust good ol’ (al-) Reuters to embarrass itself. One of their major screw-ups was discovered by bloggers and posted by Charles Johnson on LGF, included meddling with photographs during the skirmish between Israel and Lebanon in 2006

Now Reuters gives us a new lesson in geography.

A picture worths a thousand words, so just click on the image below and see for yourself.

It’s Jooos Again

Jew hatred reached a new low point. This is absolutely sickening.

Russia’s Medvedev faces anti-Semitic attacks

MOSCOW - Allegations by nationalists that Vladimir Putin’s chosen successor, Dmitry Medvedev, has Jewish roots have brought anti-Semitism to the surface on the margins of Russia’s presidential election campaign.

The first deputy prime minister, who is all but assured of victory on Sunday because he has Putin’s support, has said he belongs to the Russian Orthodox faith.

But some nationalist groups say his mother’s maiden name, Shaposhnikova, is Jewish, and that he is unfit to be president because of this.

Medvedev’s campaign staff declined to confirm or deny he has Jewish roots. The Kremlin condemns all forms of anti-Semitism.

The weird thing is that if Kremlin will officially deny Medvedev’s Jewish roots (which I somehow certain do not exist), they will be blamed and tagged as Anti Semites themselves, because there will definitely be found those who’d say “Oh look, and what’s wrong with him being Jewish? Why denying it?”

There is one thing that crossed my mind while writing this post though…How about replacing the combination “Jew hatred” with “Fear of Jews”…Judophobia translated as exactly that.

Blame The Others

As usual, in the Muslim world, when things go wrong and the parties are not able to fix them, they throw the blame and responsibility for the solution onto others

Beirut bottleneck needs regional fix - Moussa

BEIRUT: Arab League chief Amr Moussa said on Tuesday it was time for regional parties to try to resolve their disputes in order to facilitate a solution to Lebanon’s political crisis.

“Lebanese leaders have given all that they could. It is now time for regional parties to work out their differences in order to pave the way for a settlement in Lebanon,” said.

Given all that they could? How about “taking care” of the Iranian/Syrian agents Hizballah? The entire region knows that they are despised and seen as a direct threat by the majority of the Lebanese, but yet, nobody (well, may be except Walid Junblat, the Druze leader) has guts to come forward and engage with the gang of the foreign agent Nasrallah. And until they do, nobody from the region, the world or the entire universe will be able to help them to “pave the way for a settlement…”

Shortly after Moussa left Beirut without achieving any breakthrough in Lebanon’s political logjam, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said Syria was part of the problem in Lebanon, calling on Damascus to help resolve the 15-month crisis before hosting an Arab summit next month.

“The summit will be held in Syria and Syria is linked to the Lebanese problem. Therefore I hope that Syria would solve the problem,” Mubarak said in remarks aired on Al-Arabiya television on Tuesday.

Funny man…keep hoping.
