The events in Pakistan have overshadowed the news of elections in Kenya, which were held two days ago - December 27th.

Those who care about the anti-islamization campaign all around the world should pay a very close attention to what is happening in this East-African country. As previously reported on “World Divided”, the presidential candidate from the opposition - Raila Odinga - has struck a deal with the Muslim community of Kenya, to allow the full or partial implementation of the Sharia laws in the predominantly Muslim areas of the country, in return for the Muslim vote.

This post details and explains the events:

Kenya now, al-Kenyya-el-Islamyia Soon?

The bad news at the moment are that after 75% vote count Raila Odinga is leading and likely to become the next president of the predominantly Christian Kenya.

It was the day the Cabinet was massacred. The Vice-President humiliated in a constituency contest, and the President trailing by a million votes in the national tally.

Orange Democratic Movement candidate Mr Raila Odinga remained at the top of the charts throughout the night and the whole of Friday from the moment counting started.

The elections were many times disrupted by the brutal violence from the supporters of the opposition, leaving a number of the police officers and pro-coalition voters dead

We’ll keep updating.

UPDATE : SUNDAY, JAN. 30th;

The results are too close to call. The opposition “Sharia” candidate Raila Odinga declares victory and incites the supporters.

The crowds riot all over the country over the delayed results.

Thousands of Kenyans enraged over delays in announcing the country’s next president burned down homes and attacked political rivals with sticks and machetes on Saturday, tainting a vote that initially was seen as a beacon of hope for democracy in Africa.

Three people were shot dead during protests in Migori, 360 miles west of Nairobi, said area police chief Grace Kaindi. In the capital Nairobi, hundreds of supporters of opposition candidate Raila Odinga marching on the electoral commission were beaten back by police using tear gas.

With votes in 180 of 210 constituencies counted, Odinga clung to his razor-thin lead by 38,000 votes. Despite pleas from both parties to release final results quickly, electoral commission chairman Samuel Kivuitu suspended announcing tallies for the night, promising to look into allegations of rigging from both sides.

‘If they don’t announce results in two hours, we are going to burn this place down!’ shouted 23-year-old John Odhiambo as youths armed with metal rods looted a flaming market behind him in the capital’s biggest slum, Kibera.

Yeah, like you haven’t been doing it from the day one the elections started, and amids that violence (that claimed lives of a number of people), here comes this statement from the Foreign monitors:

Polls went fine

The Washington-based International Republican Institute (IRI) commended the transparency of the whole process.

“ The delegation in particular was impressed with the depth of dedication on the part of Kenyan voters, “ Constance Barry Newman, the Spokesperson for IRI said at a news conference Friday. The observers monitored opening of ballot boxes, actual voting and ballot counting.

Depth of dedication. Oh yes, murdering three four policemen is very very deep. Cannot get more dedicated than that.
